Stand beneath five Himalayan summits in the remote Darma Valley wilderness
The five summits of the Panchachuli massif — Panchachuli I (6,355 m) through Panchachuli V (6,437 m), with Rajramba (6,537 m) and the towering Panchachuli II (6,904 m) at the apex — form one of the most dramatic mountain walls in the Kumaon Himalaya. From the base camp at 4,260 m, the entire massif fills the horizon above you without obstruction. The approach follows the lower section of the Darma Valley Trek route — through Dharchula, Sobla, and the ancient Shauka villages of the Dhauli Ganga valley — before climbing steeply through the Dantu bugyals to the glacier-edge camp. The Inner Line Permit requirement keeps the corridor almost entirely free of commercial trekking traffic. This is not a technical climb; it is a high-altitude wilderness trek that delivers an Annapurna Base Camp-level mountain experience in a valley that most Indian trekkers have never heard of.

The Panchachuli Base Camp Trek enters a restricted Inner Line Permit (ILP) zone. Himalvara arranges and includes all permits in the package price — you only need to carry a government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar or Passport).

Flights to the pickup city, personal trekking gear, and travel insurance are not included.

From Delhi by road it is roughly 8–9 hours. Himalvara handles all onward transport from Kathgodam as part of the package.
Himalvara operates in small groups of 2–10 people, ensuring personalised attention from your veteran guide. Private departures for families and friend groups are available on request. Contact us to check availability for your preferred dates.
